Galling to lose at D*rby, but as the only D*rby fan I know is one of my best friends and is no more of a wind up merchant than me, yesterday's result could be good for us as:
1 It will concentrate the minds of the hierarchy on the need for player recruitment

Good to see that one kicking in so fast, eh?

Blair performed perfectly, as in an act.  The one that really fcuking p!ssed me off was Alistair Campbell, who went into full spin mode.  Did you hear his testimony?  He didn't answer a single question, but instead twisted the question to the answer he wanted to give.  Definition of Spin.

I recall vividly the Campbell spin era : for my sins I used to listen to Today on R4 on the way to work, and hear pre-programmed Govt drones spout Campbell-instructions on the radio.  If any of them had shame they'd have died of it on the spot.  But being politicos, they didn't give two fcuks as long as the Boss approved.

This.

Not the four being charged but that 'Mr Starmer said there was "insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of a conviction" in the case of Labour peer Lord Clarke'. Really, Mr Starmer? Because a very quick search on Google found me some fairly damning evidence.

I've met Keir Starmer. He's very nice, and very bright, and doubt there is any reason to question his integrity.

But he obviously hasn't heard of google.

My wife, who keeps trying to have a conversation with me while I'm trying to listen to the commentary. Have now retreated to the bedroom with my laptop and closed the door in the hope that she gets the message.

Man City losing at Hull, I need them to win these sorts of and play their part in keeping Liverpool out of the top five places.

Fingers crossed for Villa to beat Spurs, it means that both then go above Liverpool if they win their game in hand on the filth.

The inevitable Aberdeen equaliser in the last minute of extra time.

Probably a good thing, as Raith need the extra money from a replay.

@rsene Wenger and Warren Gatland.

I love watching @rsenal as a neutral, but Wenger is just getting silly at the moment; every time they lose it's only because the nasty rough opposition weren't really playing fair.  Chelsea only won because they're "cynical" and made "sneaky fouls"; they didn't beat Villa because they're a "typical physical long ball team", and so on.  Uhhh, hello...?

No class, @rsene.   It's time you occasionally admitted that your team were second best where it really mattered - and you could start by not continuing to play a skillful dwarf out of position up front and expecting him to achieve anything.  You win football matches by scoring more goals than the other lot; not by having lots of pretty posession in the middle of the field with no penetration (ask Paul Hart c.2003).  We don't care whether you had 70% of the ball and some of your players can do a triple salko with pike into the bath afterwards; in fact I'd say that having 70% of the ball and still losing 0-2 suggests you're not making very good use of it.

Similarly, Mr Gatland, stop moaning; "if England tried to play a bit, they didn't have much success; we looked really dangerous".  Well yes, Temporary Taff, you did... for about 20 minutes - but the game lasts 80.  The rest of the time you were inept; you couldn't win a single bit of line-out ball, your backs kept on dropping it, and one of your supposed best players completely fcuked up your whole day by being sent to the bin for 10 minutes, during which you lost the match by conceding 17 points.

When we play a sport where you get marks for artistic merit, then come back and tell us that the other lot "weren't really giving us a football exhibition".  Until then, you might want to try scoring some goals...

A plea to the Billies?

You've just been dying for him to go a couple of games without a goal so you can climb back on this particular hobby horse, haven't you?
