You will all have seen the news last week that Walt Disney World is to be twinned with Swindon.

Nope, I saw it 6 weeks ago

Flying from Ottawa to Toronto and back today for a couple of meetings. Like a tw@t I set my alarm for an hour later than I should have done, so as a result I had to charge around the house and then drive like a man possessed to get to the airport in time...... only to find that my flight is delayed. sh!tbadgers.

Experience taught me to expect delays rather than be suprised when I was travelling around the US. There is one good rule which is the shorter the flight, the more likely it is to be delayed if there is bad weather; I suspect Ottawa to Toronto is a short hop, so it's easier to ground those flights than a flight from Vancouver. Of course, if it's for another reason then I'm talking crap...
Places you're most liekly to be delayed: LGA, ORD, IAD from my experience. Never had problems flying into Toronto as it's not so busy.

One tip: if your airline (Air Canada?) offers an SMS notification service then sign up. United gained me a couple of extra hours sleep a few times after telling me the night before that an early flight was delayed (as well as informing me of upgrades).

Brian: Peter, did you read the fine print on this loan contract?
Peter: Um, if by "read" you mean imagined a naked lady, then, yes.

Mr.Weed: Peter! Are you sleeping on the job?
Peter: Uh uh...no! There's uh..a..bug in my eye and I'm trying to suffocate him.

Peter: Listen Lois, I know you're a feminist and I think that's adorable, but this is grown-up time and I'm the man.

It was delayed because of crew rest, apparently.

Wife is currently panicking on a connection at Montreal, she's on her way back from Orlando but has to collect her luggage and go through immigration before she can get her domestic connection. Given Air Canada's recent track record, she's buggered and I will shortly have to get in the car and drive two hours to Montreal to collect her. Air Canada are the most appalling airline it has ever been my misfortune to use.

This week I have been traversing the M4 to and from Bristol.

Patchway industrial estate near Cribbs Causeway shopping nightmare, since you ask.

The M4 between J10 - 20 is my new favourite motorway I like to hate vehemently.

At least you're going against the rush hour (generally). It took me 45 minutes to get from junction 12 onto the A329M this morning.

We've probably passed each other on more than one occaision. The A329M at Bracknell can be a tw@tbag of a road in the morning.

And the queue at J15 for Swindon during the evening rush hour looks hellish.

You know, I always used to say that people talked about motorway junctions and roads and stuff were boringest of cnuty cnuts.

And now here I am.

I'll be taking a flask to the match next....

Wife managed to catch plane in Montreal. Going to the airport shortly to collect her. Haven't finished cleaning the house properly - if I'm honest, I've barely done anything other than moved a few things and wafted the vacuum around - but I'm banking on her happiness to be home after what sounds like a fairly heavy going six day trip to a conference and reunited with her husband and pet bunnies outweighing her annoyance at the house not being pristine. Fingers crossed.

I reckon you'll have 45 minutes max before you're rumbled.

It would be a bit unreasonable of her to expect you to do any serious vacuum cleaning when Forest aren't playing.

And when will the burd at Leigh Delamere services WH Smith stop being so @rsey?

And I want to hear all about the J9/10 naming story again.

I'll take that.

So how long did it take?  You're not online in the middle of the night (your time), so it can't have been THAT bad.

Or are the bunnies wearing dinky little Russ hats?
